Meet Our Founder
Jamani King is a dynamic and visionary leader with nearly a decade of experience in nonprofit leadership, deeply committed to empowering youth through education, mentorship, and wellness. Her journey began in divine alignment at Loveland Life Center Church in Altadena, where she recognized both the need for a girls’ ministry and the broader calling to prepare young women for life beyond high school. This vision gave birth to Honey Bunz Inc. in 2017, first as a ministry and soon after as a nonprofit dedicated to serving all girls across Los Angeles County regardless of religious preference.
As Founder and Executive Director of Honey Bunz Inc., Jamani has built a movement that uplifts girls aged 11–18, fostering self-confidence, character development, and holistic well-being. Under her leadership, Honey Bunz has achieved significant milestones, including establishing strategic community partnerships and securing a dedicated space at the University of Southern California for monthly workshops.
Jamani’s professional journey also includes service as the Founder and Program Director of the Stimulating STEM Summer Program at USC’s Viterbi Information Sciences Institute, where she launched a program that expanded STEM exposure for underrepresented youth. She successfully secured substantial funding, oversaw program operations, and created pathways for student success. Additionally, she served as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Program Specialist at the USC Information Sciences Institute, advancing DEI initiatives through training, programming, and collaboration.
Beyond Honey Bunz Inc., Jamani oversees Loveland Community Development Corporation, expanding her impact through community-based programs with a strong focus on resilience and empowerment for youth and families.
Jamani holds a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media Arts from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and a Master of Arts in Social Entrepreneurship & Change from Pepperdine University. As a leader, she is known for her proactive nature, relentless drive to grow, unwavering integrity, and continual strive for operational excellence in service to the next generation.
